A ceremony was held on Aug 22 to celebrate successful installation of the first steel truss girder of the 16.34-kilometer-long bridge linking Songxia township of Changle and Pingtan Island. With the weight of about 1,350 tonnes, the girder is 80 meters long and 35.5 meters wide.[Photo/Xinhua]
