Pingtan Net-From Apr.23 to25, the 1_stCross-Straits Sinology Forum was held in Pingtan. The 1_stSinology VR exploration hall of Fujian was launched in Pingtan in that period.

Here is the VR calligraphy and Chinese Painting exploration section with a blue curtain, a computer and some relevant facilities. Thereinto, Mozhiyunis an educational VR applied software which is relevant to calligraphy and painting. It uses the teaching method of creating a virtual environment instead of traditional teaching methods.

As a top technology in the entertainment world, VR technology gave me an unforgettable experience. With the help of the technician, I wore a VR blinder. An empty room changed into an ancient study room immediately. I could see the writing brushes, ink sticks, paper and inkstone which look so authentic. However, there is nothing here.

I tried to step forward, finding that the study room was also moving. When I turned around, the scene followed. It is really amazing that when I squatted, the view changed, too.

We can take everything in the virtual room. With the guidance of the technician, I grasped the interactive handle to touch the writing brush and study Calligraphy. I facsimiled paintings with different sizes of writing brushes upon the pen holder right on the table. You can choose the copybook and seal with a stone lion. After the experience, I feel that eyes can really deceive our brain!

My exploration attracted the curiosity of many bystanders so that they wanted to have a try. Ren Yixin, a  student of the sixth grade in Chengdong Primary School said excitedly, “VR technology is really fantastic. It seems as if I were immersed in the real scene.

You can see different scenes as if you were in the real environment through VR. Besides, you can achieve the interaction with the virtual people in the virtual scene with a handle. However, the presence of AR is a way of strengthening visual experience.
