The Pingtan Net — The Seventh Shared Homeland Forum was opened in Pingtan yesterday. The forum adopts the ways of guest speeches and expert comments. The youths from across the Straits shared their experiences of entrepreneurship in "new era, new opportunity and new development."

On the forum, a Pingtan bride from Taiwan, named Chen Zhaoxing, shared her stories from encountering, coming to understanding, and falling in love with her husband, as well as working and living experiences in Pingtan.

Lu Jie, the founder of the Maker Cat (chuangkem.com), called on the friends from Taiwan to start up on the China's Mainland ASAP. To him, the Mainland can make their dreams come true even from a white hand.

Zheng Boyu was quite satisfied with the fair opportunities for the start-ups on China's Mainland. "What can we do for Pingtan?" Liao Anxie, Chairman of the Association for Cross-Straits Tourism Development in Films, TVs and Cultural Animation, cleared the answers on the basis of her working experience in Taiwan and international influence of films and TVs. Ms Liao regards that the development of films & TVs industries not only improve the national image, but also the recognition of values. It is a good method for China's cultural export and image marketing. Moreover, it will attract talents as well as capitals pooling into China. She expressed her wish to the family members from across the Straits, hoping that they can jointly enjoy the shared community of Pingtan.

Meng Xianting came to Pingtan Island for the first time in 2012. He was quit surprised with the rapid development of the island, which is changing every year. He told our reporters why he chose Pingtan as the entrepreneurial destination. He said he wanted to help those young Taiwanese entrepreneurs without foundations to start businesses on China's Mainland.

Meanwhile, as the commenting experts, Qiuyi, professor of Chinese Culture University in Taiwan, and Xienan, associate research fellow of Taiwan Institute, Chinese Academy on Social Sciences, made a thorough analysis to each of the speechers during the forum. Prof. Qiu suggested that those young people working in China's Mainland from Taiwan be given some encouragement and applause. The market of the Mainland enjoys a bright future and great opportunities, giving youths from Taiwan a good platform to demonstrate their abilities.
