In pictures: highlights of 2018 intl cycling race in Pingtan

A record high of 2,500 cyclists from 26 countries and regions including USA and Germany as well as across China have signed up for the annual racing carnival this year, marking a new record for five consecutive years in term of the number of contestants in one-day race domestically. Initiated in 2014, the “Ocean Cup”China (Pingtan) International Cycling Open Race is the first competition that combines cycling sports with ocean culture in China,serving as part of activities to celebrate the World Ocean Day which falls on June 8.The racing track has been designated in Pingtan International Tourism Island, Southeast China’s Fujian province.
