Taiwan delegation hails creative Guoxue in Pingtan
Pingtan Net | Updated:2018-07-09 | Lin KongboA Taiwan delegation consisting of over 20 teachers and pupils took a trip on June 7 to the Cross-Straits Center of Guoxue which sits on Taiwan Entrepreneurial Park, Southeast China’s Pingtan Island, and were exposed to novel combinations of traditional Chinese cultures and cutting-edge technology.
According to the teacher leading the delegation, the visiting students from Xinyi Elementary School of Taiwan are primarily fourth and sixth graders. They are excited as it is the first time for them to be on Pingtan.
“I am a frequent visitor to the Chinese Mainland. What impressed me most are its tremendous changes over the years. I look forward to the future development of Pingtan,” added the teacher.
The children got fascinated by Xian’er, the adorable robot monk, and its animated cartoon series, and experienced virtual reality (VR), including trying on Han Chinese costumes, making signatures with brushes, and writing Chinese calligraphy.
“It is of great significance to disseminate culture in such an enjoyable and educational way,” commented the teacher from Taiwan.
