In the award-giving ceremony, the host commended the Cross-Straits Center of Guoxue as an effective means and window for the bond between the Chinese mainland and Taiwan, commenting that the Center has effectively converged and promoted Chinese traditional culture through an innovative medium of communication.

Chinese traditional culture is a bond for connecting Taiwan with the mainland. To inherit and spread the traditional culture, the Cross-Straits Center of Guoxue has cooperated with Pingtan Net and gathered cross-Straits sinologists to present a global internet platform for the spread of Guoxue in an innovative way.

The Cross-Straits Center of Guoxue has created its own accounts on mainstream social media platforms home and abroad such as Wechat, Weibo, Facebook and Youtube, spreading the beauty of Chinese traditional culture to the world. The center has fully taken advantage of online communication tools like network broadcast, short clips, panorama images and H5, a burgeoning web page format well known in China, gathering online popularity for Guoxue culture from home and abroad. Meanwhile, the center has also set up first VR experience hall in Fujian with advanced holographic laser projection technology, bringing better offline experience for Guoxue culture lovers.

Until now, the Cross-Straits Center of Guoxue has held various events including forums, seminars, study camps and lectures. The cumulative exposures for cross-Straits Guoxue events has reached over 100 million on the Internet, which has greatly promoted the spreading of Chinese traditional culture by means of internet.

Sources reported that it is the third year for the Office of the Central Cyberspace Affairs Commission to promote network public welfare projects. The annual review event for communal web “Hand-in-hand with Love” has taken off for 3 years in a row.
