On March 6, Fujian Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage List for the 6th batch of representative items was published with Pingtan's shell carvings successfully added on it. Zhan Sheng, a local sculptor and inheritor of this handicraft, expressed that he will continue to promote the art and introduce it to the whole country and even to the world.
