Pingtan will launch the Northern Eco-Bay Drive Project to build a mountainous sightseeing trail along the coast to connect all tourism resources. The project is under Pingtan Municipal Development Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of Pingtan Urban Construction Investment Holding(Group)Co,.Ltd. Stretching 22 kilometers up into the northern highlands of Pingtan, and overlooking scenic coast and beautiful ecological countryside, the scenic drive will be a spectacular nature feast for tourists.

The project also consists of a 35-kilometer-long slow lane for tour buses and a 6-kilometer-long trekking trail with public amenities like parking lots, and sightseeing platforms. The first phase of the project will start in mid-March.

"This is a significant project which will link up the transits between rural villages and towns and alleviate the problem of inaccessibility in the outskirts of Pingtan," said Lin Xuzheng from Pingtan Municipal Development Co., Ltd.
