The 2nd Cross-Straits Guoxue Forum and Guoxue Vlog Competition officially opened this morning on May 24 at the Cross-Straits Center of Guoxue in Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone, where more than 30 world-renowned sinologists and famous bloggers on Weibo from home and abroad gathered to share on the beauty of Guoxue.

Among some big names present at the forum in the Sinology fields are Fu-Bing Chen, a professor from Fu Jen Catholic University of Taiwan, Chung-Ying Cheng, an American Chinese scholar and world renowned philosopher and Jin Chunfeng, a visiting professor from the Philosophy Institute of Fo Guang University, Taiwan. Professor Jin is also an excellent disciple of Mr. Fung Yu-lan, a renowned contemporary Chinese philosopher and educator.

In the afternoon, a Taoism sub-forum and a Cross-Straits academic exchange conference will also be held at the Cross-Straits Center of Guoxue in conjunction with the event. Famous scholars from both sides of the Straits will share on their perspectives and open up interestingly intense debates with collision of thoughts. Both activities will be covered live on famous internet platforms including Tencent and Sina.
