Tung Chin-Yue, emeritus professor of the Department of Chinese Literature from Taiwan’s Chengchi University, will present the 13^th Guoxue lecture on August 20 at the Cross-Straits Center of Guoxue headquartered in Pingtan. His lecture will center on ‘si wu’ or ‘four nos’ from the Analects of Confucius, i.e. ‘see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil and do no evil.’

Tung specializes in neo-Confucianism of the Song and Ming dynasties, history of Chinese thought, and Chinese classics, and is also vice chairman of the Confucius and Mencius Society and the International Confucian Association. Tung was awarded the 2015 Confucius Culture Award in the 7^th World Confucianism Conference.
