The 14th Cross-Straits Guoxue Lecture was held from 19:30 to 21:30, September 16, at the Cross-Straits Center of Guoxue. The guest speaker of this lecture was Professor Liang Tao, the Deputy Dean of the School of Chinese Classics of Renmin University of China and the Director of the Cross-Straits Center of Guoxue.

Themed “Confucianism: Junzi (distingue elites) vs. Shumin（common people）”, the lecture was based on the views on Junzi and Shumin respectively from Confucius, Mencius and Xunzi, which describes the developing process of Confucianism's value of distingue elites and common people.
