The 18th Cross-Straits Guoxue Lecture kicked off at 7:00 PM at Taiwan Entrepreneurial Park, Pingtan on January 13. Luo Chuanfang, a researcher from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, elaborated on how traditions made their ways to today’s modern society, and also clarified the correlative relationship between tradition and modernity.

The lecture was also broadcast live on various platforms like Weibo, Sina and Tencent by the Cross-Straits Center of Guoxue, presenting audiences with unique insights on how traditions are passed on from the past to modern society!

Professor Luo Chuangfang

Luo Chuanfang, a researcher from the Institute of Philosophy of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, a senior editor of "Philosophical Research" journal, and a professor at the Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.

Luo has long been in the research of Chinese and oriental philosophies, and has made many academic visits to Europe to conduct researches on cross-cultural exchanges and divergences between the Eastern and the Western.
