 Fishing season ushers in bountiful harvest

In Dongmei, a small fishing village located on Pingtan Island, fleets of fishing boats set off on August 1. This is Pingtan’s first few fishing activities after its three-month fishing ban. Already, a crowd of expectant fisherwomen was crouched at a port with baskets. What a scene!
