IM Cross-Straits Youth Film Festival Awards Ceremony Held in Pingtan

Last weekend ended with a bang at the awards ceremony of the IM Cross-Straits Youth Film Festival.The first cross-Straits youth festival was held on October 25 at the Film and Television Base of Pingtan, Chinese mainland’s closest neighbor of Taiwan. Gracing the evening were Chinese film director, also chairman of the IM Cross-Straits Youth Film Festival, Wang Xiaoshuai, veteran actor Tumen, actress Huang Xiaolei and Huo Siyan. Also, rocking the evening was rock band COM’Z from Taiwan. It was a big night for Taiwan director Sophie Suei as she walks off with the Best Picture Award for A Trip with Mom.

A total of 50 short films competed for awards. The total prize for the shortlist reaches 3.48 million yuan.
