3rd Cross-Straits Guoxue Forum in Pingtan

The 3rd Cross-Straits Guoxue Forum was held on Nov. 1 in Pingtan, Chinese mainland’s closest neighbor of Taiwan. Experts and scholars from across the Taiwan Straits shared their opinions and contributed to a cultural feast.

Especially after the operation of the Research Base for Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture based in Pingtan, it can help enhance the cultural influence of Pingtan.

    Xu Qingyuan from Taiwan who is an associate professor of Hubei University of Economics said that Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone is set up for Taiwan and special for Taiwan. Pingtan and Taiwan boast inherent geographical proximity. It is a predestined fate that the cross-Straits Guoxue exchanges take place in Pingtan, which is also a new exploration of cultural integration and development across the Straits.
