The ongoing library complex building

The main construction of the library complex building has been completed in Pingtan, an island city off E China’s Fujian province. And the second renovation is expected to be finished by the end of this year, according to local authorities on April 21.

The library complex building totaled an investment of 24. 1168 million yuan with a construction area of 4361.81 square meters. The 5-storey building consists of a digital experience center, an audio-visual theater, reading rooms for the visually impaired, and study areas.

“The library will be increasing its book collections and add an archive for local history. Intelligent equipment will also be installed,” said Wang Zhihao.
