Sea Sparkle, a dreamlike spectacle that appears earlier this year, also entices crowds of visitors to try their luck.

It’s reported that the Tourism, Culture and Sports Bureau of Pingtan planned to work with Pingtan Convergence Center, Baidu, and Douyin to launch a series of marketing campaigns centered around Sea Sparkle.

Chen Qiang, who runs a B&B hotel in one of the villages here in Pingtan, said that since the Spring Festival this year, he can run close to 60% occupancy rate on a normal day and full house every weekend.

Reporters visited local lodging establishments and travel agencies to learn that tourist demand remains robust for the upcoming May Day holiday. Pingtan has entered the peak tourist season ahead of schedule.
