Jiushishan Amusement Park of Hongwei Village is making final preparations for its soft opening this upcoming May Day holiday, as the first phase construction nears completion in Pingtan, East China's Fujian province.

Facilities such as the high-altitude swings, rainbow slides and water slides are making good progress. The straddle-on train, the merry-go-round and the wisteria promenade have been installed, and the workers are carrying out testing and safety inspections.

The entertainment area is divided into a water park, a jungle trail, an ecological pasture, and a sightseeing area. “The installations are coming to an end. There will be a petting zoo that houses alpacas, peacocks, and dwarf donkeys. Visitors can have a close contact with these lovely animals.”

Close to the Northern Ecological Corridor, Jiushishan Amusement Park is anticipated to become a popular photo-taking location and promote the development of tourism in the northern part of Pingtan.
