Hunan Satellite TV aired Pingtan on the evening of May 23 in its popular show Day Day Up.

"Whenever sea sparkle appears, the coastline turns into the Milky Way..." Pingtan's "sea sparkle" appeared in the program. Introduced by Zhang Tenglong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch of Beigang Village of Pingtan, the spectacle wows celebrity guests. “So magical!”, “How romantic!”

Meanwhile, the vast beach, sea-eroded landform Celestial Well, marine sports kitesurfing came on the big screen. Lin Zhiyuan from Taiwan who runs stone house hostels in Beigang Village shares his entrepreneurial story in Pingtan, the closest place on the Chinese mainland to the island of Taiwan.
