Pingtan signs RMB 7B projects at CSIPF

On the morning of June 18, Pingtan, an island city off E China’s Fujian province signed agreements with Fujian Provincial State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, and Fujian enterprises on six projects topping 7 billion yuan worth of investments in the fields of infrastructure construction, health care, people’s livelihood, and tourism, marking a fresh impetus to support Pingtan’s efforts in promoting its high-quality development.

Three enterprises from Pingtan also secured another three projects amounting to 65 million yuan on the sideline. Projects are listed as follows:
Peking University Health Science Center and Straits Innovation Internet Co.,Ltd. signed a medical research project using cutting edge technologies of 5G, AI and the Internet of Things, estimated at 30 million yuan.
China Guangdong Nuclear Power (Fujian) Wind Power Co., Ltd. and Fujian Fisheries Research Institute signed a contract for a marine ecological composite energy development test project, with an amount of 5 million yuan.
Fujian Provincial Fisheries Technology Promotion Station and Fujian Pingtan County Aquatic Products Experimental Co., Ltd. signed a contract to jointly build a genetic breeding center for Pingtan’s laver, with an amount of 30 million yuan.

In digital economy
Lin Shupan, assistant to the general manager of the Good Health Companion Internet Hospital, introduced that the Straits Cloud Medical app, which was launched at the exhibition, provides users with a vast range of online medical services. These services include online image-text consultation, video inquiry, chronic disease management, Taiyitong, intelligent hospital guide, and medication management, among many others. "Taiyitong" is a section specially designed to facilitate Taiwan compatriots.
In marine economy
Models of remote sensing satellite for civil use displayed at Pingtan Pavilion
The Haisi Research Institute has brought 1:30 models of seven civilian remote sensing satellites from Gaofen-1 to Gaofen-7. These satellites are mainly used for land surveying and mapping, agriculture, forest fire prevention, and disaster reduction, breaking the monopoly of industry satellites abroad.

To promote the development of a new energy industry chain, China General Nuclear Power New Energy Group and the ocean engineering company Zhengli Offshore, which are committed to ocean development, were invited to exhibit a sand model of an ongoing new energy project in Pingtan and a model of a wind power engineering ship.

Pingtan features integration with Taiwan. Pingtan’s industrial parks such as Taiwan Entrepreneurial Park, Cross-Border E-Commerce Park and Commercial Livestreaming Park joined in the fair. “The parks are encouraged to blaze trails on multiple fronts. Professionals from Taiwan will be hired first. We are striving to realize job integration via these parks,” said Guo Zisheng, an official from the Economic Development Bureau of Pingtan.
