The second season of the talk show Chiu Yi Shows You Around Pingtan, jointly produced by Pingtan Convergence Media Center and Chinese Headline New Media has recently finished filming. The show is scheduled to be aired in mid-August.

"Themed 'People from across the Taiwan Straits are Family, Join Hands to Build our Home', the programme takes on the perspective of Chiu Yi, a noted scholar from Taiwan, as he looks into the lives of fellow homies living and working in Pingtan. The audience will catch a glimpse of Pingtan's development as the show decodes some of the island's pillar industries, tourism sector, culture, and resident's livelihood," said Yang Lin, deputy editor-in-chief of Pingtan Broadcasting System, the programme producer.

Chiu Yi hopes that through this programme, the highlights and characteristics of Pingtan will be promoted, so that more people of insight can come to Pingtan and build it into a common homeland for compatriots on both sides of the Taiwan Straits.
