Pingtan to build sea airport with RMB 3b

Fujian province, east China revealed a well-developed transportation plan, featuring state-of-the-art ports and airports construction. This also includes a new airport for Pingtan International Tourism Island.
According to the plan, more than 10 new airports will be built. Apart from conventional airports, several maritime and water airports are progressing down the pipeline.
Initially budgeted at 3 billion yuan, the airport is to be built on a piece of reclaimed land off the eastern waters of Pingtan.
Serving multiple functions, Pingtan airport will go down as the second airport in Fuzhou, the capital city of the province as well as a potential metropolis, and an aviation hub to Taiwan.
It will launch aerial sightseeing to take in the enthralling landscape and seascape of Pingtan.
