100-year-old Ke Lingyun from Pingtan receives his vaccination.

Ke Lingyun, a 100-year-old retired head of a local health center, accompanied by his family, drove to a temporary vaccination site for the Covid-19 vaccine.

Despite his age, he was able to move freely and insisted on walking to the vaccination site by himself after getting off the car. Before the vaccination, Ke had his blood pressure tested. When the blood pressure meter indicated normal, the medics and people on the site gave Ke a thumbs up. 

Following detailed inquiry and evaluation, Ke got inoculated.

Reporters from Pingtan Convergence Media Center saw Ke taking a break in the observation area. "The process is fast. I am fine. Don't worry," Ke Lingyun said.

"When the village cadres came to ask us if we would like to get the Covid vaccine, my father said that people all over the country are getting vaccinated, and so am I. Today our family all got vaccinated," said Ke Dongming, a son of Ke Lingyun said.

After one hour of observation, the senior did not feel any discomfort, and he returned home with his family.
