Locals and Taiwan compatriots share festive mid-autumn joys in Pingtan
en.ptnet.cn | Updated:2021-09-23Mid-Autumn Festival is an important holiday in China. For most families, it is a time for family reunions, social gatherings, and sumptuous meals. Another year has passed since the pandemic. Like last year, many Taiwan compatriots have celebrated the festival in Pingtan. Even so, the celebration was no less exciting! In some villages, locals and Taiwan compatriots came together to make mooncakes. Others taught children how to make traditional lanterns and shared pomelos and snacks from their hometown with friends. Despite post-pandemic restrictive travel, people will always find a way to connect with their loved ones. Last but not least, let’s face adversity with positivity.
