Purchasers play a key role in the international import expo. At the 4th China International Import Expo (CIIE), Fujian Heyichang International Trade Co., Ltd. from Pingtan, China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone targeted healthcare products and medicines, with potential transactions amounting to 5 million yuan.

Wu Bin, president of the company, led his purchasing department to visit HCP from Germany. Established in 1997, in Hannover, Germany, HCP owns several large-scale physical pharmacies, online pharmacies, and large-scale health care product wholesale centers.

After the deal at the third CIIE, Wu Bin purchased HCP products again this year. "CIIE provides us with a good platform to come into direct contact with foreign manufacturers and brands and reach agreements,” Wu said.

Since 2015, Fujian Heyichang has been engaged in cross-border e-commerce, marketing beauty, personal care, baby and maternal products, food, health care, OTC brands, etc. It is the only six-starservice operator and provider on Tmall international in Fujian and a partner of Alibaba Investment in Southeast Asia.

"This time, the plan is to purchase health products and OTC drugs." Wu Bin said that the company has already received a business license concerning Chinese and Western medicines. Soon, Fujian Heyichang would bring more overseas brands to Chinese consumers via Pingtan Port.

Zhang Shufu, deputy director of the Commerce and Logistics Department of the Economic Development Bureau of Pingtan, said that in recent years, Pingtan Port has made a lot of achievements in cross-border e-commerce, especially in warehousing and transportation.
