10th Cross-Straits TV Art Festival in Pingtan
en.ptnet.cn | Updated:2021-12-23The 10th Cross-Straits TV Art Festival is being held from Dec. 21 to 25 in Pingtan, the closest place on the Chinese mainland to the island of Taiwan. This is the third time that Pingtan has hosted the event since 2019.
Pingtan is the largest island in Fujian Province and the fifth largest in China. Currently, Pingtan is leveraging efforts to build a cross-Straits common homeland and raise its status as an international tourist destination.
Over the years, Pingtan has been fostering a conducive film and television industry bolstered by an array of favorable policies and construction of the film and television bases.
Highlights of the art festival
The 13th Cross-Straits TV Hosting Rookie Show
57 TV rookies from the mainland gather to compete in Pingtan. Affected by the epidemic, three Taiwanese contestants will be competing via live video conference. The contestants will receive professional ratings and reviews from a panel of experts and reputed hosts from both sides of the Straits. Last but not least, top three finalists shall receive a job offer from Fujian Radio, Film, and Television Group.

The 7th Cross-Straits Artists' Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition
Notable Chinese artists such as Tang Guoqiang and Zhao Baole will exhibit their works in Pingtan.

TV personalities from both sides of the Taiwan Straits will have in-depth exchanges on the theme of "All Media: Opportunities and Challenges for Television".
