“China Chic” came back with a bounce this Lunar New Year at Pingtan’s 68-Nautical-Mile, reportedly the closest place on the Chinese mainland to the island of Taiwan. On February 6, a variety of cultural and musical performances such as street dance, guzheng (a Chinese plucked zither) performance, and bands wowed the New Year crowd.

Themed “wind”, the attraction has also set up photo spots such as windmills, and presented tourists with exquisitely prepared windmill gifts and warm tea, attracting numerous tourists.

“We took great delight in the new programs,” said tourist Lin Hui.

The 68-Nautical-Mile held a series of activities that highlighted traditional culture, creating a strong festive atmosphere and catered for tourists, which enhanced the popularity and influence of scenic spots.
