Pingtan kick-starts 31 projects worth 13.8 billion yuan
en.ptnet.cn | Updated:2022-02-10 | Lin KongboPingtan, the closest geographical proximity on the Chinese mainland to the island of Taiwan, launched 31 projects involving those from emerging industry, infrastructure, and motorsports, with a planned investment of 13.8 billion yuan.
Among them, 8 projects have been listed as provincial priorities, totaling 10.3 billion yuan.
Pingtan Emerging Industrial Park has planned for the input of 6.98 billion yuan and a construction area of 680,000 square meters. 20 companies in the field of information technology and comprehensive health have settled in.
"The number of Taiwan-funded enterprises takes up about one third of the settled enterprises. Industries such as integrated electronics and integrated circuits fully meet our investment requirements," Zheng Liang from Pingtan Emerging Investment and Development Co said.
“The latest endeavor covers the constructions of roads, workshops, and talent apartments,” added Zheng.
Let’s take a look at some of Pingtan’s provincial key projects in the first quarter of this year:
Pingtan Cross-Straits Vocational Education Park (Phase I)
Total investment: 1.54 billion yuan
Annual planned investment:250 million yuan
Total construction area:173,000 square meters.
The first phase of construction includes a library, gymnasium, student center, educational occupancy, and other amenities.
Pingtan Auto Sports Industrial Park (Phase I)
Aggregated investment: 210 million yuan
Annual planned investment: 86 million yuan
The project will build racing tracks for karts and urban off-road vehicles and other auxiliary facilities.
Pingtan Keqiutou Archaeological Site Park – Keqiutou Museum

Total investment: 250 million yuan
Annual planned investment: 100 million yuan
Planned construction area: 15,000 square meters
The construction includes showrooms, antique storerooms, an international research institute, and other supporting facilities.
