Hydrofoiling and kiteboarding are new additions to the Paris 2024 Olympics. The championship in Hainan strictly followed international standards, setting the Men and Women's Hydrofoil and Kiteboard into 4 different categories.
In addition to the Olympic-level series, there are also slalom, long-distance, and youth and group events. Over 100 athletes from 14 teams across the country staged a hundred rounds of competitions in a week. Chen Jingyue won two gold medals for the Fujian windsurfing team.
"The games were not all smooth-sailing. During the game, I got tripped over by a piece of garbage. I also encountered a gust of strong wind. Nevertheless, I am happy to be able to get over one after another." Chen revealed that she will work hard for the upcoming Olympic Games.
