The 2022 China Cross-border E-commerce Trade Fair was inaugurated on June 1 in Fuzhou, the capital city of E China’s Fujian province. Nine enterprises from Pingtan, such as warehouse, e-commerce platform, and logistics, attended the fair for the first time. Pingtan is part of China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone and has been designated as a comprehensive pilot zone for cross-border e-commerce in China.

Huaxin (Pingtan) Logistics Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Taiwan-headquartered Wagon Group. Huaxin is one of the earliest Taiwan-funded enterprises to land in Pingtan and a well-known comprehensive cross-border logistics service provider on both sides of the Taiwan Straits. “We are here to show off Pingtan’s advantage of cross-Straits transport.” Ruan Yibin, deputy general manager of Huaxin (Pingtan) Logistics Co., Ltd. commended Pingtan for its endeavor to foster the logistics trade industry including the improvement of infrastructure, industrial policies, and customs clearance, which has attracted more and more cross-border e-commerce companies to settle in. 

According to statistics, Pingtan's cross-border e-commerce industry has maintained multiple growth for four consecutive years since 2016. Pingtan’s Cainiao Warehouse has ranked first in delivery timeliness in the country and customs clearance efficiency for two consecutive years. Pingtan has become the country’s largest two-way distribution center for maritime express bound for Taiwan, accounting for about 60% of the country's total.

A service provider from Ningbo, Zhejiang province was impressed with Pingtan’s timely Taiwan shipment. "I heard that Pingtan's shipping to Taiwan is efficient, and we hope to provide our customers with more and better logistics solutions,” said Zhang Min, deputy manager of the product operation department of Ningbo Juehai Technology Co., Ltd.

As a national-level and the largest cross-border e-commerce exhibition in China, the China Cross-Border E-Commerce Trade Fair is an important platform to tap into new opportunities for cross-border e-commerce and help stabilize the growth of foreign trade.
