According to the agreement, Straits Dream on Pingtan Island houses a mega mall, an indoor amusement park, an indoor ski resort, an upscale five-star hotel, a cluster of holiday apartments, and an international food court catered for world-traveling tourists.
"We are full of confidence in the development of Fujian and Pingtan. Pingtan Island boasts rich tourism resources like long coastlines, well-developed infrastructure, and an abundance of preferential policies that come with its status as a free trade zone and a rising international tourism island,” said Nader Ghermezian, chairman and founder of Triple Five Group.
Triple Five Group is a multinational conglomerate in North America. It has developed, owns, and manages the world’s first, second, and third-largest tourism, retail, and entertainment complexes of its kind in the U.S and Canada. These three projects attract over 150 million visitors annually.
“Pingtan is one of a kind. It has become the first stop for Triple Five Group to enter the Chinese mainland,” said Wang Fei, director of the Strategic Advisory Department of Jones Lang LaSalle, Inc., a consultancy of Triple Five Group.
