Pingtan's cruise "Haitan No.1" held a press conference on June 26 announcing the cruise's services and offerings for tourists. Sunset cruise, sundeck afternoon tea, and immersive "Fu culture" are some of the features on Haitan No.1.

Apart from the intercity cruises, the Haitan No.1 has added several island cruises covering some of Pingtan's iconic tourist spots, ranging from 40-minutes to 100-minutes. Itineraries include Dong'ao Port, Jiangshan Islet, Tannan Bay, Dafu Bay, etc.

Haitan No.1 sets off from Aoqian Ferry Terminal at 5 p.m. on May 26, under the wild blue yonder. Enthusiastic tourists crowd the deck to enjoy the sea breeze and a fun photo session.

The newly introduced Sunset Tour allows tourists to marvel at the breathtaking island sunset. As the sun goes down, the sky blushes. Chen Ju, one of the tourists on board, said the whole experience was unique and therapeutic.

According to Wang Feng, deputy general manager of Pingtan Maritime Sightseeing cruise Co., Ltd., to enrich the cruise experience, they have added and introduced several new features and services on board. For instance, tea salons and restaurants are some latest additions on board. Passengers can now enjoy afternoon tea with a view. Moving forward, the company will offer more customized services to cater to different target markets, like marine research field tours and corporate team bonding.

Wang also added that he hoped to develop tourism products with unique characteristics and offer quality tourism products for Pingtan's cultural and tourism industry.
