Mini Asian Beach Games held in Pingtan

The competition is the first of its kind in China, attracting sports enthusiasts and professional athletes, with the youngest being 18 years old and the oldest 64.

Xie Tianshou from Xiamen won the championship in the standing long jump. “I am 64 years old. I have been exercising for years. I hope more could join in the field and track sports,” said Xie.
Su Bingtian, a holder of the Men's 100 m Asian record, extended wishes for the event with other athletes at a press conference.
The 2022 China· Pingtan Beach Games, dubbed the “Mini Asian Beach Games, involves eight series of events, namely: Pingtan Beach Athletics Open, Pingtan Beach Kite Festival, China (Pingtan)Canoe Ocean Racing Open, Pingtan Beach Ultimate Frisbee Open, Pingtan Sailing Race, Fujian Coastline Sailing Rally, Fujian Beach Volleyball Competition for College Students, and Fujian University Line Dance Championship for College Students.

"The beaches in Pingtan are among the best in China, ideal for beach competitions,” said Huang Qinhua, director of the beach games.
