Pingtan, an island off E China’s Fujian province, has placed 15 e-government self-service kiosks across the island. Residents can handle government administrative matters on real estate registration, medical insurance, pension, ID, etc.

Pingtan has realized the intra-provincial self-service platform for government administrative matters in the cities of Xiamen, Zhangzhou, Longyan, Sanming, Nanping, Ningde, and Putian, and an integrated inter-provincial government service platform in Hainan, Guangxi, and Fujian provinces.

“Next, we’re going to launch inter-provincial e-government services in 15 provinces,” said Lin Jie, deputy head of the Technical Support and Radio Department of the Administrative Service Center of Pingtan.
