Following over 1.8 million orders over the Double Eleven shopping spree last year, Pingtan’s bonded warehouse hit another record of 2.24 million orders as of 24:00 on November 11.

“Starting at 6 pm on October 31, we began racing against time and making preparation for the shopping spree,” said Yu Anhui, deputy general manager of Fujian Goodies Supply Chain Management Co. Ltd.

Six years at a glance, Pingtan's cross-border e-commerce industry is booming as the pilot free trade zone witnessed an annual increase in warehouse capacity, incentives, and shipping routes.

According to Zhang Shufu from the Economic Development Bureau of Pingtan, the pilot free trade zone will continue to review and refine its support package for the cross-border e-commerce industry via three aspects: first, the enactment of innovative measures to boost the cross-border e-commerce industry; second, exploration of new development operations such as cross-border e-commerce bonded processing, bonded logistics, and bonded services; third, the construction of the "inland-Pingtan-Taiwan-Global" logistics channel- a vital springboard for the island's international venture.
