"Ocean Cup" China (Pingtan) International Cycling Tournament has been awarded as the "Best Outdoor Leisure and Experience Event" at the 2022 Yutang Sports Marketing Conference held on November 8, according to the Tourism, Culture and Sports Bureau of Pingtan. It marks another honor after the event secured the titles of "China Sports Tourism Elite Competition" and the "Best Cycling Brand for Amateurs." Pingtan is an island off E China’s Fujian province as well as a rising international tourism island.

This sports conference is one of the industry's prolific annual events organized by world-renowned sports marketer Yutang Sports. The accreditation came as the highest commendation for the island's stunning landscape and excellent hospitality, further reaffirming Pingtan's position in the industry. Luo Jianying, one of the event organizers, tipped off that the team would add more iconic landmarks to its upcoming race track to capitalize on the island's beautiful scenery.

Zhang Qiang, an official from the Tourism, Culture, and Sports Bureau of Pingtan, said the recognition would attract more professional teams and cyclists to drive the development of the cycling brand, part of Pingtan’s efforts to build itself into an international tourist destination.
