68 racers joined in the 2022 Pingtan International Racing Carnival held on December 11 in Pingtan, a rising international tourism island off E China’s Fujian province. Gracing the event was Guo Ningning, executive deputy governor of Fujian, who made a special appearance to present the trophies to the winners.

The event features the China GT Championship and FIA China Formula 4 Championship. Pingtan Grand Prix is the annual finale of the two high-profile races.  

After a series of fierce competitions, the championship finally hailed its Best Racers of the Year and its new MVP teams in the GT3, GT4, and GTC categories. Xie Yonglin from Speedmaster Team emerged as the grand winner of the 2022 FIA China Formula 4 Championship with his stealthy record of 4 consecutive wins.  

The event aims to pave the path for Pingtan Island's sports tourism. On the same day, Fujian welcomed the province's first Formula 4 race team- F4 Pingtan International Tourism Island.
