A stadium-turned-clinic opened today (Dec. 26 Beijing Time) in Pingtan, an island off E China’s Fujian province to tackle surging Covid cases. With a daily capacity of 1,000 pax, the makeshift facility is designated to take in patients from 3-60 years old. Patients with underlying health conditions are advised to go to a regular hospital for treatment. “A diagnosis counter for children has been designated. We provide free medical consultation ,” said Wang Yuanxing, an official from the Social Affairs Bureau of Pingtan.
