“Now the residents in the community get used to patronizing our store,” introduced Lin Qiaowei, manager of the store. The convenience store came to the community last August, and business is prospering.

Owned by Fujian Wangwukonggu Co., Ltd, the store is a full-fledged commercial complex that takes on an express pick-up station and grocery store that aims to provide quarter-hour service for all residential communities. So far, Pingtan has 53 such stores.

All agricultural products in the stores are from local farms. “We sell them at a favorable price to our customers and help the farmers expand the market. It is a win-win,” said Wang Liangrong, chairman and general manager of the company.

"We also have a WeChat group to update members on our latest promotions. They can take away both delivery packages as well as discounted products.” Wang added that the store would also include laundry services in the future.
