Businesses make a good start in Pingtan

Production staff of Fujian Weilang Biotechnology Co., Ltd was assembling bioreactors in the Emerging Industrial Park of Pingtan, an island off E China’s Fujian province as well the closest place on the mainland to the island of Taiwan.
Beginning this year, the company has received orders worth 50 million yuan. “Our products are for pharmaceutical factories, scientific research institutions, and university laboratories,” said Liao Haitao, the company’s production director.
Committed to producing cutting-edge biopharmaceutical equipment, the company set up in Pingtan last September with more than 80 million yuan of operating revenue obtained in the same year.
Oriented as a zero-carbon innovative industrial zone for cross-Straits collaboration, the Emerging Industrial Park focuses on new generation information technology, big health, and new energy enterprises. To date, the work resumption rate of the park has reached 95%.
February 1 was the first day of the work resumption for Fujian (Pingtan) Ruiqian Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. The staff had all resumed back to their work post. On the same day, a piece of good news arrived- the company's general manager Zhou Huan received the title "Sci-tech Innovation China" Entrepreneurship and Employment Pioneer.
“The recognition inspired us to stick to the path of scientific and technological innovation and contribute to the high-quality development of emerging industries in Pingtan,” said Zhou Huan.
