The 2023 Hong Kong International Film and TV Expo has recently been held in Hong Kong, where the key film and television bases of Fujian Province, including Pingtan, Xiamen, and Taining, made a collective appearance. Among them, Pingtan's booth attracted renowned Hong Kong film and television figures such as Derek Yee Tung-sing and Yuen Woo-ping, as well as numerous entrepreneurs in the industry.

Fujian Pavilion was this year's second-largest exhibition hall at the expo. The Pingtan booth at the Fujian Pavilion showcased Pingtan's beautiful natural "mise-en-scenes," attractive incentive package, and facilities.

According to Pingtan Film and Television Service Center Co., Ltd. staff, Hong Kong TV personalities including Derek Yee Tung-sing, Yuen  Woo-ping, Stephen Shin Kei Yin, Louis Fan Siu Wong, Manfred Wong, Lam Wai, and other investors have expressed great interest in Pingtan.

Over 50 film and television dramas and variety shows have been shot in Pingtan, leveraging the island's gorgeous ecological landscape and rich marine culture. Pingtan's film and television industry has been on the rise, with many local attractions making it to the big screen.

"Next, Pingtan will engage in the Fujian-Hong Kong film and television cooperation, aiming to 'go global' and for a higher ground and quality development of its film and television industry," said a staff member of the company.
