Construction of the Pingtan Baseball Park is underway. Pingtan is a strategic island city with the closest geographic proximity to the island of Taiwan. Abreast with international standards, the project aims to become a future baseball and softball base on the island capable of housing various competitions, education, training, and entertainment. The park will include one baseball sub-stadium, two baseball practice fields, four tennis courts, and four outdoor pitching and hitting practice fields.

According to Du Xiangfei, the project manager, the construction of the Pingtan Baseball Park began in December last year, and the foundation work has been completed. The main construction work is currently ongoing, with workers scheduled to work two or three shifts to push the project ahead of the deadline.

Upon completion, the Pingtan Baseball Park will collaborate with the Chinese Baseball Association to create a intercontinental-level competition under the independent IP of "One Belt, One Road" and invite professional teams from across the Taiwan Straits. The park will also host MLB preseason games, international tournaments, and other high-level events.
