Brother Wanderer, also known as the "Wandering Traveler" on Douyin, has found his "ocean of stars" on Pingtan Island, located in Fujian Province, China. After traveling through 11 European countries and visiting places like Tibet, Qinghai, and Shenzhen in China, this intrepid explorer stumbled upon Pingtan last August and decided to make it his home. His mission: to showcase 100 reasons to stay in Pingtan.

During a recent interview with reporters from Pingtan CMC, Brother Wanderer shared his connection with the island while standing next to his fully equipped trailer. The moving mini home comes with a refrigerator, air conditioning, a fixed bed, an adjustable bed, and a separate toilet. The trailer's roof is covered with solar panels, providing quick charging capabilities. Its detachable feature makes it flexible for travel.

Formerly known as Qu Yi, Brother Wanderer worked in the trade industry before transitioning to travel blogging. In 2020, he purchased a trailer in Shanghai, which changed his life trajectory. “My lifelong dream is to explore the world, and the trailer allows him to do so at any time and place.”

Upon arriving in Pingtan, Brother Wanderer parked his trailer at a forest in Tannan Bay, where he enjoyed a therapeutic “communion” with nature. He left his mark on the island, creating unforgettable moments. His Douyin page, which showcases his "wanderlust” lifestyle, has attracted over 100,000 fans and 1.4 million likes. His Pingtan-related content, such as "adventure on a deserted island" and "checking in at the world's longest sea-crossing rail-cum-road bridge - Pingtan Strait Rail-Road Bridge," has amassed a massive following.

Upon receiving requests from his followers for more Pingtan content, Brother Wanderer changed the collection name of his Douyin videos to "100 Reasons to Stay on Pingtan Island." He has been sharing videos of him building a tent camping site on a beach in Pingtan, hoping to attract tourists from all over the world to experience the island's beauty and charm.
