Cross-Straits specialists clinics raise public healthcare systemin Pingtan

Pingtan is an island off E China's Fujian province as well as the closest place on the mainland to the island of Taiwan.
These medical clinics offer a comprehensive range of services including professional medical consultation in various disciplinary and medical issues, medtech, R&D, etc. Some clinics also provide training and medics exchange programs.
"By gathering a panel of healthcare professionals and medical specialists from Pingtan and Taiwan, the clinics hope to foster a fountain of knowledge exchange in the local healthcare system," said Lin Qianmin, a professor at Taipei Medical University and deputy dean of Taipei Neurological Medical Center.
According to Zhang Chengneng, a neurosurgeon at Linkou Chang Gung Memorial Hospital in Taiwan, the clinic will bring in more medical professionals to drive medical development for spinal surgery.
Chen Chun, a member of the Standing Committee of the Taiwan Democratic Self-government League Central Committee, deputy director of the Fujian Provincial Committee of the Taiwan Democratic Self-government League, and dean of the Fujian Medical University Affiliated Union Hospital, highly commended the holistic effort.
The establishment of renowned specialist clinics will provide a holistic and life-changing positive transformation to the local healthcare system in Pingtan. It also signifies a momentous step toward medical excellence and cross-Straits collaboration.
