Canadian indie vocalist Ember Swift took over Pingtan International Performing Arts Center with her electrifying performance on Sunday night, June 4. Fondly called the Jazz Elf by the local press, Swift left the audience enchanted with some "pixie dust" and musical combustion sync with folk music and acoustic guitars, laced with a hint of genre and cultural play that screams "avant-garde."

The Canadian musician now calls China home. Swift's love for China blossomed at a tender age. In her own words, "I've always been fascinated by the mysterious Eastern culture, and China is the perfect place to immerse and explore the different facets of it. Living here, I developed a unique perspective on Chinese culture and in turn, it inspired my music."
