12th Common Homeland Forum opens in Pingtan

Pingtan is the closest place on the mainland to the island of Taiwan.
Focusing on critical topics such as cross-Straits industrial cooperation and the demonstration of quality development in Pingtan, the forum aims to create a socio-economic discourse for people from both sides of the Taiwan Straits.
The forum opened with the opening speech delivered by the vice governor of the Fujian Provincial Government, commending the forum as a grand platform for cross-Straits exchanges and cooperation. In recent years, Fujian has made new strides in exploring new paths for cross-Straits integration. As an island that is standing at the forefront of mutual cross-Straits cooperation, Pingtan is committed to forging a new "social circle" for its Taiwan community in Pingtan through holistic development and supportive policies.

Ⅳ.Pingtan is and will be the most competitive channel and entry point for Taiwan goods into the mainland market. Pingtan openly welcomes all Taiwan investments.
Ⅴ.Pingtan strives to build a common homeland for cross-Straits compatriots and a competitive ground packed with opportunities for Taiwan businesses and talents.
A strategic cooperation framework was signed by ten enterprises, solidifying the commitment to collaborative partnership. Distinguished speakers including entrepreneurs, experts and scholars from both sides of the Taiwan delivered compelling speeches on topics such as the digital economy, marine economy, green economy, and cultural tourism. The 7th Cross-Straits Village Chief Exchange Meeting, providing a platform for in-depth discussions on innovative models of grassroots governance, also took place on the side.
