Pingtan receives certificate of appreciation from Asian Volleyball Federation

Pingtan Island, known as the "Island of Vitality for Sports and Events," continues to impress the international sports community with a robust record of exciting sports events. The island recently received a certificate of appreciation from the Asian Volleyball Federation for the island's contribution to beach volleyball.

Penned by Ms. Rita Subowo, president of the Asian Volleyball Federation, the letter congratulated Pingtan's milestone and success in the recent Senior Asian Beach Volleyball Championship 2023 and expressed heartfelt gratitude for the island's contribution to the sport.

The Senior Asian Beach Volleyball Championships 2023 was held from June 23 to 26 on Pingtan Island, with a total of 59 teams from Asian countries and regions participating. The event was organized by the Asian Beach Volleyball Federation, and co-hosted by the Chinese Volleyball Association, the Fujian Provincial Sports Bureau, the Pingtan Tourism and Culture Sports Bureau, and the Pingtan Tourism Development Group.

The Asian Beach Volleyball Championship is a top-level beach volleyball event in Asia and is also a qualifying event for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Pingtan Island has been hosting beach sports events for years, promoting the deep integration of "sports and tourism" development and further enhancing the island's international tourism reputation and influence.

According to Shi Wen from Pingtan Tourism Development Group, Pingtan will continue to improve its facilities, volunteer services, and accommodation conditions to lay a solid foundation for more excitement and vitality.

As Pingtan Island continues to attract high-profile international sporting events, it has become a hot spot for sports enthusiasts and tourists alike, showcasing its unique charm and vitality to the world.
