This summer, the allure of getting up close to the sea has captured the hearts of many, and the "Haitan No. 1" immersive cruise has emerged as a popular pick on the market.

Since the beginning of this year, up until August 9, the cruise has welcomed over 23,000 visitors, marking an impressive 134% increase compared to the previous year. It currently operates four daily voyages, with the evening departure requiring advance reservations due to its high demand.

"We're seeing remarkable demand for the 'romantic' cruise, so much so that 'packed to the brim' would be an apt description for the passenger flow," shared Wang Feng, Deputy General Manager of Fujian Pingtan Sea Cruise Limited Company.

On the deck of the ship, tourists gather around the railings, basking in the sea breeze while marveling at the picturesque scenery. The serene atmosphere offers a peaceful escape from the bustle of everyday life.

Inside the cabins, a magic show captivates the attention of both young and old, generating cheers and lively interactions. Many visitors find themselves reluctant to disembark after the 1-hour cruise, their appetite for the sea's beauty left unsatiated.

The cruise ship is designed to accommodate up to 290 passengers, hostingabout 280 passengers for each trip. Tourists across the nation gather here to revel in the sea's majesty.

"As a symbolic product of island tourism, it has garnered immense popularity among visitors. This year, we've employed an all-encompassing media strategy, including platforms like Douyin (the Chinese version of TikTok) and short videos, to attract a significant number of tourists," Wang Feng disclosed. The company remains committed to refining its services, including incorporating distinctive performances, all in the pursuit of enhancing the visitors' experience.

Moving forward, the company is poised to continue innovating its range of travel products, exploring offerings such as serene nighttime cruises and a floating sea lounge. The goal remains clear: to continually enrich the tourist experience and keep the magic of "Haitan No.1" alive for generations to come.
