Thrilling showdown at Pingtan as 70 racers conclude high-octane journey

The motorsport extravaganza at Pingtan came to a glorious end as 70 racers crossed the finish line, culminating in a breathtaking display of speed and skill. The event featured several prestigious championships, including the China GT Championship, Shell Helix FIA F4 Chinese Formula Championship, and Super GT League PRO.

Two rounds of intense battles broke out on the morning of the Shell Helix FIA F4 Chinese Formula Championship final. Liao Qishun of Smart Life Racing Team made a strong start, overtaking his rivals and securing victory, marking his second triumph in Pingtan.

"This year, the track underwent some adjustments, making it more challenging. We were cautious during the race to avoid mistakes and aimed for the best results," said Liao Qishun.

In the afternoon, the China GT Championship concluded its second round of the season, coming back fiercer than the preceding days. The streets rumbled as racers pushed their limits. Ultimately, Liu Jialun, representing the up-and-coming LAZBOY team, emerged victorious, claiming the overall first place and triumphing in the GTC category. In the GT4 category, Lu Junjie and Yu Xin from L9 Racing Team secured the top spot.

Huang Zhengtao from the Livei World Team clinched second place in the GT4 category. Despite the scorching heat, the racers faced a dual test of skill and endurance. However, the competitive spirit among the participants remained friendly, creating a joyful racing experience.

Yu Xin from L9 Racing Team, who participated in the Pingtan race for the second time, expressed his delight, stating that the track was even more enjoyable than the previous year. He also highlighted the valuable opportunity for exchange with participants from Taiwan, making it a rare and memorable experience.

Meanwhile, the Super GT League PRO witnessed an exhilarating showdown in the seventh-round final. Sixteen cars competed head-to-head, with Zhang Ying from Hong Kong emerging as one of the few female racers who achieved multiple honors in the event. "The track presented considerable challenges and was quite intriguing. We have experience with street racing, so participating in this weekend's competition was a delight. I look forward to returning next year," shared Zhang Ying.

Over the course of three days, 70 racers showcased the highest level of Chinese motorsport to the enthusiastic audience. The event left an indelible mark on the Pingtan International Circuit, solidifying its reputation as a prime destination for racing enthusiasts.

"I was truly amazed by this year's event, and it got my blood pumping. The lineup of drivers was formidable, and even the Heavenly King Aaron Kwok participated. I hope Pingtan's motorsport industry continues to thrive," expressed spectator Zheng Rongxin.

The conclusion of the races at Pingtan marked the end of an adrenaline-fueled journey, with drivers and fans eagerly awaiting the next thrilling chapter in the world of Chinese motorsports.
