Chinese CCTV News channel recently praised the allure of Pingtan, a picturesque island in Fujian Province, China. Known as the "County of Thousand Reefs," Pingtan boasts 126 islands, with Haitan Island being the main attraction, along with 702 scattered reefs that outline its breathtaking coastal scenery. The island is situated closest to the island of Taiwan on the Chinese mainland, making it an ideal destination for nature lovers.

Pingtan's charm, however, extends far beyond its scenic beauty. Thanks to the "funneling effect" of the Taiwan Straits, Pingtan benefits from abundant wind resources throughout the year, making it a popular destination for kiteboarding, jet skiing, sailing, and paddleboarding. Visitors can indulge in a variety ofthrilling water sports, making it a haven for adventure seekers.

But the excitement doesn't end at the water's edge. Pingtan offers thrilling land activities as well. At the Pingtan International Karting Circuit, visitors can experience the "need for speed" as they race go-karts at speeds exceeding 120 km/h. Additionally, the island boasts a professional racing track, attracting top-notchdrivers who compete in thrilling races.

When the roar of engines echoes through the racecourse, Pingtan's sporting DNA comes alive, creating a perfect synergy between sports and cultural tourism. From the racetrack to the coastline, visitors can unwind duringthe gentle breeze of dusk, sipping on a cup of Pingtan's signature jelly drink, "Caoyan Tang," and enjoying folk music by the seaside. This is the epitome of the island's laid-back coastal lifestyle.

Pingtan offers a diverse range of experiences, including RV camping, interactive light shows, trendy music festivals, and unique night markets. These vibrant attractions stimulate a constant flow of consumer vitality, attracting visitors from all corners of the globe. The island's romantic ambiance is further enhanced by the influx of tourists, adding a touch of excitement to the air.

In the first half of this year alone, Pingtan received a staggering 4.2 million visitors, generating a total tourism revenue of 3.45 billion yuan.
